If you get the chance to fly on the Airbus, I highly recommend it. The upstairs is first class, of course, with full flat bed style sleeping chairs. The middle is us poor economy/coach class people, then below deck is actually where the flight crew congregates/rests. The coach area seats 3 on either side with a row of 4 in the middle and they are definitely more spacious than the usual 747 planes that are flown international. Each chair has their own private touchscreen in front of them that are almost the size of the table tops you get! There was a ton of entertainment with lots of games, TV shows, and movies. There was a lot of movies to watch and there was even a sub section of all Oscar winning movies going back to something like 1964. Anthony started watching Hangovers, which he had already seen but apparently really liked and I started off with Star Trek, the newest one with all the characters in their youth. I must not be a true geek or Trekkie since I still hadn't seen it until today.
Besides the great supply of entertainment, we got great seats on the plane. Anthony had the aisle and I had the middle seat and there was a lady from Corpus that sad on the inside seat but right before they closed the doors, the flight attendant pulled the lady from her seat because she was traveling with her husband but they had separate seats. Since the flight attendant was able to get them seats together we ended up with 3 seats to ourselves! Anthony made quick work of making it into a bed.
Oh, another reason to try the Airbus are these snack areas set up in certain parts of the plane. So you can get up and stretch, walk to the snack area where you can get cups, ice, soda, water, apple, juices, crackers, and cookies whenever you like. And of course, the alcohol was free. Victoria Bitter...to me, is truly bitter.
Okay, dinner time is coming. Looks like I have the choice of chicken or mahi mahi. Hope it's good!
