Since we had the rental car today we wanted to take advantage of it so we went shopping for some other necessities like a mop, trash cans, cleaning supplies, vacuum.....hey! That's all stuff I'll be using to clean the house! No wonder this shopping trip wasn't as fun.
We went in search of a pet store, hoping it would be something like a PetsMart of Petco but alas, it was another boutique style shop where a Kong chew toy is about A$20 to our US$7. There was a nearby K-Mart so we went in for some basic stuff like bath soaps and trash bins, however, I was more enthused about the baskets that have wheels and retractable handles!
We then went in search of a vacuum store and since Anthony kept seeing Godfrey's on TV the first 2 months he was here, we decided to go look for one. After what felt like a zillion roundabouts, we ended up finding one in this giant 3 story mall with other shopping centers around it that had a bunch of other large stores like JB Hi Fi (electronic store, like a Best Buy) and a Bunnings (like a Home Depot).
So to re-cap.....we've basically done things that we normally or could have done back in Texas....go figure.
