First Meal Out!

At the suggestion of our neighbor John, who greeted me with “hello love,” we went down to Ferguson Street, where it's just lined with shops and restaurants back to back for probably half a mile or so on both sides of the road. We sit down to grab a lunch from a place called Provisions and sit outside. It seems almost all the restaurants/eateries have a few indoor seating and a few outdoor seating on the sidewalk. So we grabbed a table right next to the outdoor heater so we could people watch. I noticed many of the restaurant's outdoor seating usually had a water dish for dogs and for the 90 minutes or so time that we were there, about 6 dogs went past us being walked by their bi-peds. So it would seem they're rather dog friendly here.

We also noticed that many of the other customers were drinking beer or wine during lunch and everyone ate slowly but chatted a lot. When our food comes out, it's clear that meals whether breakfast lunch or dinner, is something to be enjoyed and not rushed. Both of our food presented very well and it was clearly evident that all the ingredients were fresh. Anthony had a chicken pesto burger which also came with eggplant and I had a mushroom and potato stew with rice and spinach cream sauce.

The servings were rather generous but it was definitely expensive. I mentioned, people enjoy their food and company without rushing through their meal right? It's obviously something both of us will have to work at because we finished eating and left before people who had already started eating before we even ordered!

Off to see our kids in quarantine!!!
